“The greatest thief of human happiness and abundance is ungratefulness. Any lack in our lives – whether in money, health, or relationships – is simply the evidence of a lack of gratitude. If you focus on lack you are not being grateful, and that will bring more lack into your life.” Rhonda Byrne

This is a wonderful observation by my friend Rhonda over at kidsawakening.com, where she helps parents understand law of attraction and other loving parenting ideas.

What I love about this statement is this: when we are happy and fulfilled, we are full of gratitude, you can just take a minute to think about it, and you will agree. So, kind of like a math equation, to solve for the missing number in an equation, you still take all the components in the equation and just re-arrange them into a way so as they produce the solution = what is missing. The same is true for life.

Look at the above statement as an equation. Your components are happiness, gratitude, abundance, lack, money, relationships, health. If any of those is missing from your life, then look at which of the other elements is not in alignment. Say you want to solve for money, you want more money. Most likely the missing element is gratitude.

I know it can be challenging to be grateful when you hurt, when you worry, when you are afraid. But it truly is the key. If you are grateful in advance for what you want, like I have been talking a lot about these days, you have the power in the now to make it happen. When you feel scared or mad because you can only think of what you do not have, you will stay in that feeling. That feeling of lack, fear and anger are strong signals going out asking for more of the same thing to come to you.

Wouldn’t it be better to start feeling happy and thankful for the money, love, health that is coming to you, that you know you want, now? You will get to feel it now, and experience it shortly, and that is wonderful! Feeling it is mostly what we want anyway, so look now to see what is ‘missing ‘ in your life and start to be grateful for it being IN your life, and soon it will be!

I am grateful right now for my abundant cashflow, my new home in Austin and all the amazing people who will be in my “Hot Holiday Cash & Survival Tool Kit” class! I can feel all of it right now, yummy! 🙂

    Hi Nan,

This is sooooooooo true. I have been practicing thinking of 10 things I am grateful for before I go to sleep and before I get up in the morning.

My husband and I are transitioning from working for clients to working for ourselves, and it is a little scary at times.

Thanks for the reminder to keep focusing on what we’re grateful for.

Congratulations on your new home in Austin! We should do a house swap this summer!

    Light and Love,
