I have had the honor of being at a live event… and that in and of itself is so powerful, and transformative… but what I was pondering was how all my 
life how powerful it has been when someone I respected believed in me.
I was in sports in high school. I played volleyball, basketball and track all four years. I made the Varsity team in my freshman year and started almost from day one. My coaches were all lovely and supportive… but the real power that let me be my best was they saw in me the potential for greatness.
It was their belief in me, and the way they conveyed that and guided, encouraged and pushed me that helped me believe in myself and allow that greatness to come out.
They helped me fine tune and strengthen my skills. Their love and their expectation of me to be at that level of performance created a space for me to step into it. I saw things in myself I never would have because of them, and I pushed myself and gave my best. I felt loved, appreciated, respected and challenged.
That gave me the vision I never would have seen for myself. I was close to them all and still have great fondness in my heart for them. I was even “All Europe” in Basketball (I lived in London, England and went to the American School in London for High School). It was a great experience.
I was thinking about that today because my current business and life coach is doing all this for me now. That was sports and this is business and personal growth, ..and yet he is doing the same thing for me they did all those years ago. I am seeing my greatness and how I have what I need to fulfill my life mission. Having someone who believes in me again, with power, passion and strength is making me feel empowered, loved and challenged. What a blessing!
I am a firm believer that everyone needs a coach. Everyone needs someone who believes in them. It is beyond powerful. It opens doors, moves mountains and allows you to see your potential.
You have greatness within you. You are not meant to do it all alone. You need someone who sees your power. Everyone does… or they would not be here. We were all programmed in childhood that we were not great and not to expect great things in our lives. You must get a coach who believes in you and sees that greatness. You deserve the support, the love and the honesty.
It is time to shine…is time to turn your back on the past and let someone who can see your greatness empower you with their belief… until you can build your own belief in yourself.
When someone I respect believes in me… I feel like I can fly and I do… I can create anything. When I am judged, blamed, criticized and not respected… I doubt myself and let that old programming from childhood take control and drain my energy, passion and focus. All my coaches, from sports, to business to spiritual have changed my life, improved the quality and allowed me to be my best. There is nothing like it.
